Give Claude your firm once

Lesson 1 of 3 · Claude & Cowork mastery

1 · Learn the move · Context + audience

A Project (or a folder with a CLAUDE.md) is where the firm's standing facts live so you stop re-typing them: services offered, the reviewer's preferences, the season calendar, the rules on client data and authorities. What never goes in the project: a client's name, a return, a notice. The project holds the practice, not the clients.

Set up a project for my practice. Standing context: [practice description]. Standing rules: clients are letters; every authority VERIFY; no figure from memory. Files: [the de-identified templates I use].

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

You have pasted the same six sentences about Harlow & Vance into every session this month. Put them in a project, with the two rules that keep client data out of it, and test it with a fresh question.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
