Acceptable Use Policy
Effective July 30, 2026 · Part of the Terms of Service.
Plain-language summary; not a substitute for legal review.
You agree not to use the Service, or any output from it, to do — or help anyone do — the following:
Discrimination and misrepresentation
- Discriminate against, target, or exclude anyone on the basis of a protected class, in any use of the Service.
- Publish AI output as fact without verifying it, or in a way that misrepresents a property, a price, a deadline, or your professional role.
- Paste a client’s tax return information — a name with a figure, a Social Security number, an EIN, an account number, a notice with the client on it — into the Service or into any tool it drafts for, without a signed consent that names the tool, the information and the purpose. Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code is a criminal statute and the Service is not a safe harbor under it.
- Deliver an authority you have not opened: a Code section, a regulation, a revenue ruling, a case or a figure that came from a draft and went to a client, a reviewer or the Service unverified.
- Present a drafted consent as sufficient, a drafted position as supported, or a drafted statement as carrying any assurance, or tell anyone that a paste was permitted or a redaction was complete.
- Use output to give tax, legal, assurance or investment advice to anyone as though the Service, rather than a licensed practitioner, had given it.
Unlawful and abusive use
- Violate any law, professional rule, or code of ethics that applies to your work.
- Infringe others’ rights, submit others’ personal data without authorization, or attempt to breach security, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
Human review
Every output is a draft. You are responsible for having a qualified person review and approve content before it is published or relied upon. We may suspend accounts that violate this policy.
