Ledger

Nothing of the client’s goes in.

Ledger teaches CPAs and tax practitioners to use AI without a disclosure. Short lessons on invented clients, each built around one habit: the check that would catch the answer if it were wrong. The rule in every lesson is the rule of the practice. Never paste what identifies a client, never state a figure you were not given, and never rely on an authority until you have opened it. Anything unchecked reads VERIFY.

Every lesson is free. A paid seat is for running the tool on your own work without a limit.

The wall everyone hits in week one

Paste a client’s notice into a chatbot and ask what it means. The answer is often good. The problem happened a second earlier: the paste was a disclosure of return information, and section 7216 does not ask whether the tool kept it. Most practitioners learn this from a webinar, after a season of pasting. The scanner on this door points the other way. It reads what you are about to put in, not what came out. That is lesson one.De-identifying reduces the risk. Whether it removes the question is unresolved, and no page here says it does.

Tax preparerCPAEnrolled agentBookkeeperFirm partner

Solo practice, a two-partner firm, or a department inside a larger one. If you sign what goes out and answer for what went in, this is for you. Not attest engagements and not litigation support. Those carry their own standards and this door stays out of them.

What is the client question you would answer faster if you could safely ask?

Say it in your own words, with the client de-identified. I will work it now and show you every authority I could not verify.

What you paste goes to Anthropic's Claude API to write the draft, and nowhere else. It is not used to train a model, and it is not stored on our servers unless you sign in and sync. Where your data goes →

How CPAs put AI to work here

1

Your notices, fact patterns and memo drafts

The work between a client question and a signed position, drafted from de-identified facts you already have.

2

It will not take the client's name

Nothing identifiable goes in. The paste is checked before it is sent, and every identifier comes back as a placeholder.

3

Every authority marked VERIFY

A section, a ruling, a case: each one is a claim until you open it. What it cannot trace comes back as what to go open.

4

No figure it was not given

No threshold, no rate, no penalty amount from memory. A number appears with its source and its year, or as a bracket.

5

117 lessons, every desk

Returns to notices to advisory. The whole practice, tax through advisory, across 25 areas.

A general chatbot

“Under Rev. Rul. 2019-41 the deduction is allowed, and the threshold for your client is $14,600.”

The ruling may not exist and the figure came from nowhere you gave it. The sentence is fluent, cited-looking, and the first person to check it will be the reviewer. Or the examiner.

Ledger

“[VERIFY: the revenue ruling on point]. I have not confirmed it exists or says this. The threshold is [NEEDS: input]; you gave me no figure and I will not supply one. On the facts you pasted, here is the narrower conclusion I can support.”

VERIFY means unopened. Not wrong, and not settled. That distinction is the door.

What is live, and what is not

Live now: the 9 desks below, 17 lessons written for the practice, plus the shared shelves on grounding, verification and Claude itself, the builder track, and 3 runnable Skills. The library counts all of it, shared shelves and builder track included, as 25 desks and 117 lessons.

Not yet: a published proof study. The sibling doors lead with one. This door has run none and says so rather than borrowing theirs. Also not yet: the research, notice, close, entity and advisory desks the plan names, eight of the ten Skills it lists, the CPE planner, and checkout. The prices on the pricing page are the real ones. The only button behind them today is a founding account.

The review discipline is on the page, not behind it: a lesson never invents a figure, an authority carries a verification state, and anything the model cannot know reads [NEEDS] or UNKNOWN. Nothing here was reviewed by a CPA or an attorney before it shipped, and the page says that too. Find an error and it ships fixed the day you report it.

Start with a fact pattern

Bring the client question you would answer faster if you could ask it, with the client de-identified. The lessons are free. A seat is $39 a person a month, alone or for the whole firm, and the firm’s price is the same per seat as yours.
