Automate the engagement-start checklist
Lesson 4 of 5 · Workflows & automation
1 · Learn the move · Power-ups + stakes
Every new engagement starts the same way: the letter goes out, the client code is created, the folder structure is made, the document-request list is built from the letter's scope, the season calendar gets its dates. Four tools, fifteen minutes, done by hand every time. Map it, then automate the mechanical parts and leave the two judgment steps (scope, and the first client call) to the CPA.
Turn my engagement-start checklist into a workflow: steps, which tool each touches, which steps are mechanical and which need me, and the trigger. Then the first mechanical step as a script.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
Six new clients signed this week. Each took you twenty minutes of setup before any work happened. Specify the flow that takes the mechanical two-thirds off your desk.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
