Force the answer into a decision matrix

Lesson 6 of 7 · Compliance & safe AI use

1 · Learn the move · Comparison matrix

'Which entity type?' and 'which of these three positions?' get a paragraph of hedging unless you force a matrix: options across the top, criteria down the side, the trade-off and the open question in every cell. The matrix does not decide; it shows the CPA what the decision turns on, with every authority VERIFY and every figure sourced or [NEEDS: input].

Compare these options in a decision matrix. Rows: the criteria I give you. Columns: the options. Every cell states the trade-off, cites an authority as [VERIFY: ...] or marks [NEEDS: input]. Add a final row: 'what this turns on.'

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

Pruitt Dental is asking whether to stay as it is or make an election, and the owner wants 'the answer' by Friday. Three factors matter and one of them the client has not given you a figure for. Build the matrix that shows the partner what the choice turns on.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
