Keep it current and hand it on

Build-along · ~25 min at your own keyboard

A folder that felt great in week one can be a swamp by week six. The model finds three prices for the same thing and picks the old one. Four checks keep it alive. In a fresh session, ask what the folder is, what is in progress and what comes next. Wrong answers mean the map is out of date. Give each fact one home and make everything else point to it. Put a last checked date and an update trigger in the map. Then hand the folder to one other person. The map that tells the AI where things are tells a new reader too. The earlier lesson on cold starts covers session notes.

Your starter: Keep it current checklist

Checklist

Make it yours: Run each check on your own folder and write the real result beside it. Add the files you touched.

Fresh session test
- Question asked: what is this folder, what is in progress, what is next
- It got wrong: [what]
- I fixed: [file]

One home per fact
- Fact found in more than one place: [fact]
- Now lives in: [file]
- Others point to it: [files]

Keep current
- Last checked: [date]
- Update when: [trigger]

Handoff
- Given to: [person or role]
- Task I asked them to do: [task]
- Where they got stuck: [place]

The coach checks that what you paste back is your own work. The starter pasted back unchanged won't pass.
